Makeup tips and trends for Summer

Doing your makeup during the Summer is quite tricky. You have to head to the beach, to the pool and sometimes you sweat which can cause harm to your makeup. Here is how to counter this issues while slaying trendy makeup looks.

1/Powder
Weather you have oily skin or you’re just surrounded by sunshine 24/7, powder is about to be your new best friend. It prevents your skin from getting oily and your foundation from being cakey. I personally use this Mac “prep & prime” transparent powder which my brother bought me for my birthday. It sets my makeup and erases any pore.

2/A tangerine/coral lipstick
The new makeup trend for Summer? Color! These orange lipstick shades are seen everywhere: on catwalks, in the streets… Models especially rocked the trend at the Jason Wu and Versus fashion shows.
Tip: if you want your lipstick to stay longer, apply translucent powder on top of it.

3/Glowy skin
If you want to look natural you can highlight your cheeks to enhance your features, as seen during the Balmain and Marni fashion shows.
Try the latest Marc Jacobs highlighter coconut scented (see left of the picture):

4/Bright eyes
One major Summer trend, two possibilities:
-If you want to spend a day at the beach and wear a discreet makeup you can try gold eyeshadow. It will give you a sunkissed look.

-If you are planning to go out, you can try something more gaudy like blue khôl around your eyes.
